Hall of Fame requests

Members asking to be added. Approve puts them on the public Hall of Fame straight away. Deny keeps them off it and records why. Only admins can approve, and only an approved entry is ever shown.

Add someone to the wall

No account needed. Use this for anyone who does not sign in to the site: someone who never made an account, an alum, or a member who told you in person. The entry looks exactly like one a member submitted, and it publishes as soon as you save it.

Instagram connection

Once connected, the latest post is mirrored onto the landing page automatically and the connection renews itself. Setting this up needs a few steps on Meta’s side, written up in docs/instagram-setup.md in the site repository.

Instagram access token Checked against Instagram before it is saved, so a typo is caught here rather than hours later. It is never shown again after saving.

Featured Instagram post

Shows on the landing page under the gallery. We copy the picture and caption here rather than embedding Instagram, so the page loads nothing from Meta and sets no cookie, which is what our privacy page promises. Paste the post link, upload the same picture, and write the caption.

Club equipment

Event signups

Members who signed up for an event page. A signup is pending until you approve it, and the member sees that state on the event page, so nobody assumes they have a seat before you say so.
